Instead of choosing just one spotlight member, CFGB wants to acknowledge all of our athletes who participated in their first CrossFit competition at the 2016 Beach Brawl!

Teresa Gelormini

Age: 47
How long have you been doing CrossFit? 
3 years and 10 months
What is your favorite WOD/CrossFit movement?: I love everything except double unders.....because I can't do them! Once I get them, I will love them too!
What is your fitness background? Gosh, let's date myself. I started with Jane Fonda VHS tapes! Ha Ha! Then Kathy Smith, then aerobics classes in the 80's....step aerobics, boot camp classes - you name it, I loved it. In 1996, I started lifting weights with a personal trainer. At some point in the 2000's I quit the gym membership and checked out Beachbody DVD's - the P90X and Insanity series. I really enjoyed that until my sister introduced me to CrossFit. I started in December of 2012 and I love it. CrossFit makes coming to the gym fun and competitive again.
Other non-crossfit hobbies include: Running
What are your goals for the next 6 months? Listening to my body - not getting injured! I don't like to "take it easy" but my 47 year old body needs me to once in a while.


Rachel Jones

Age: 30
How long have you been doing CrossFit? Just over a year and a half
What is your favorite WOD/CrossFit movement? Annie (although I can't do double unders yet), and body weight movements
What is your fitness background? Pretty much no fitness/athletic background. I just decided to get active and healthier a few years ago. I tried a bunch of different things and nothing stuck the way CrossFit has
Other non-crossfit hobbies include: Laying on the beach, biking, baking, walking my dog
What are your goals for the next 6 months? I would love to do a strict pull-up! I feel like I'm getting closer, and I plan to work more on double unders.

Brandi Ladner

Age: 32
How long have you been doing CrossFit? 2 years
What is your favorite WOD/CrossFit movement? Cleans, Deadlifts, tire flips and rope climbs!!! Too many to choose just one!
What is your fitness background? Was not active in fitness for several years before starting CrossFit! Never lifted barbell in my life prior to CrossFit!
Other non-crossfit hobbies include: Spending time with family and friends! Work and CrossFit is all I do!What are your goals for the next 6 months? Connect my double unders better and getting at least one chest to bar pull-up!


Danielle McGillicuddy

Age: 34
How long have you been doing CrossFit? Since August of 2015
What is your favorite WOD/CrossFit movement? Anything that is a power and not a squat.
What is your fitness background? Basically zero. Never played sports as a kid (unless chess and a BRIEF tennis experience counts). In 2013 I was overweight and unhappy. I decided to try Tough Mudder on Mount Snow in VT. It took me a LONG time to finish the course but it was that event that made me realize I needed and wanted to change my life. I've tried everything from pilates, bootcamp, spin, etc. before trying CrossFit. It's the only thing that keeps me feeling challenged and not bored, and the support from my fellow CrossFitters has been incredible. 
Other non-crossfit hobbies include: Riding my motorcycle (I'm pretty boring!)
What are your goals for the next 6 months? Do a pull-up without a band

Ana Schladermundt

Age: 35
How long have you been doing CrossFit? 15 months
What is your favorite WOD/CrossFit movement? Overhead Squat
What is your fitness background?: Since my teens i have competed in Outrigger canoe paddling and flat water sprint kayaking. I stopped Outrigger when we moved to Pensacola and picked up Crossfit.
Other non-crossfit hobbies include: SUP, Running after my kids, Beach, and going out on the boat.
What are your goals for the next 6 months? I want to master double unders and continue to build on my strength.

Age: 37
How long have you been doing CrossFit? 6 months
What is your favorite WOD/CrossFit movement? I really have to pick one??? Tire flipping, deadlift, back squat, bench press
What is your fitness background? Grew up playing softball & swim team. On and off at gyms using machines, free weights and cardio equipment. Had a private trainer for close to 2 years and did mainly HIIT workouts
Other non-crossfit hobbies include: Reading, watching my sons play sports, going to Packers games
What are your goals for the next 6 months? Pull-ups without a band

Jordan West

Age: 25
How long have you been doing CrossFit? 1 year
What is your favorite WOD/CrossFit movement? Squat Snatch
What is your fitness background? I worked out outside of competitive sports after high school, I didn't really stick with anything though because I lost interest and got bored!
Other non-crossfit hobbies include:Teaching, Eating, Crafting
What are your goals for the next 6 months? My goal is to get 110 on squat snatch.
